THE ROLE

We are seeking an organised and analytical Inventory Control Manager to take responsibility for purchasing and evaluating group inventory to achieve optimal rotation and stock levels. This is a senior position, as the successful applicant must work across Stansfeld Scott and Wine World, collaborating with our management team to ensure compliance with established inventory management policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Optimise inventory levels and accuracy by developing and implementing inventory control procedures and strategies
• Lead the inventory team, ensuring compliance with inventory management procedures
• Improve inventory efficiency by analysing inventory data and trends; identifying areas of improvement, such as minimising stockouts or excess inventory
• Estimate future inventory requirements based on historical data, sales forecasts, and industry trends
• Prepare product orders in accordance with well-defined specifications and purchasing standards
• Manage and conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy

REQUIREMENTS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
• Proficiency in inventory management software and knowledge of Asycuda World
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications
