The Role:

We are seeking an experienced, organized and proactive individual, based in our Barbados office, to manage the storage and movement of inventory and all associated resources including plant and equipment and the operations team. This role includes evaluating and upgrading the current processes to create greater efficiencies and customer service standards. This is a senior position within Stansfeld Scott which reports directly to the COO.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all activities within Operations, working within established budgets
• Lead, inspire and manage all team members employed in the Operations department
• Oversee and coordinate receipt, storage and delivery of all inventory with a view to improving cost efficiencies and customer service
• Be directly responsible for the maintenance of all equipment and facilities used in Operations in addition to all commercial properties and company owned vehicles 
• Competitively negotiate pricing and contracts for the purchase and maintenance of equipment
• Secure tenders for all construction projects and supervise all property development activities
• Develop and implement procedures to improve safety and security of all employees

Requirements:

• Energetic and self-motivated with a willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’ to get the job done
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve established objectives
• Resourceful with strong organizational, communication and time management skills
• Supervisory experience in inventory and fleet management is desirable
• Training and/or experience in budgetary and fiscal management
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
• A degree in Management, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering is preferred
