On November 5th, 2016, more than 1,000 food and wine lovers gathered at Landhuis Brakkeput Mei Mei for another edition of Corks & Forks Food and Wine Festival.

Corks & Forks is a big fair where participants stroll around the restaurant’s garden tasting bites and drinks from various countries from around the world. Live music and art are also a big draw for the event as the festival entertains guests of all ages.

Seven countries were featured at this year’s events highlighting food and wine pairing themes inspired by cultures including Italy, France, Spain, Chile, USA, Argentina and South Africa.

Representing the USA, Licores Maduro selected Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi to highlight the diversity of California's winegrowing regions. Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi are classic wines with fruit-forward flavours and a smooth finish that makes them a perfect accompaniment to food.

“As a wine market, Curacao is first and foremost a ‘new world’ market with American, Chilean and Argentinian wines representing the majority of the sales,” comments Mathieu Rudelle of Stansfeld Scott Inc. “Sweet wines such as Moscato, Pink Moscato and White Zinfandel are very popular among locals while higher end wines are consumed more by tourists and expats.”

Ideal for everyday enjoyment, Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi wines style was a huge success and many complements were received by Licores Maduro’s pouring team.
