Regional Director for Santa Margherita visits the Caribbean

Giacomo Marzotto, Regional Director for Santa Margherita Wine Group and great grandson of the founder of the brand reignites the Caribbean’s passion for Santa Margherita with an extensive tour of the Caribbean region

Founded in 1935, Santa Margherita has been contributing to the international success of premium quality Italian wine for decades. This success is a result of the pioneering vision and passion of the founder, Count Gaetano Marzotto.

Fast forward 80 years later and the founder’s great grandson, Giacomo Marzotto enthusiastically carries forward that same passion. Santa Margherita distributors based in Trinidad, Anguilla, St Kitts, and Turks and Caicos, were honoured to have Giacomo as guest speaker for various trade and consumer events during his recent tour to the Caribbean region.

In Trinidad, Giacomo hosted two full-house events: a cocktail reception celebrating the “sneak peek” of Cru Wine Bar, Trinidad’s newest wine bar; and a Winemaker Dinner at the highly-acclaimed Buzo Restaurant.

Giacomo visited Anguilla and St. Kitts where key buyers from premier establishments had a chance to learn about Santa Margherita through Giacomo’s perspective. Then in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos, participants enjoyed a relaxed tasting at Grace Bay Resort.

During the tour, distributors capitalized on Giacomo’s visit to officially unveil the new packaging of the Spumante line now reaching many venues. The upscale, premium bottle for both Prosecco and Rose were well received by attendees with rave reviews. In addition, participants discovered more about some of the latest acquisitions from the Santa Margherita group: Ca’ del Bosco and Torresella.
