Over 75 people, 50 of which were VIP customers of Burns House and Butler & Sands attended the “Wine Lover’s Tasting” event held at Butler & Sands Caves Store, New Providence, on April 10, 2014.

Guests had the chance to enjoy a selection of both white and red wines from the Ruffino portfolio, with attention given to Ruffino Riserva Ducale and its 92 point allocation from Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

Handouts describing the wines were provided to help customers gain deeper insight into the wine making regions of Italy and their effect on the flavor profile of each wine while Ruffino branded umbrellas and banners boosted brand visibility.

Every Tuesday, Discount Liquors & Wine Cellars hold sampling sessions for their wines listed on the menu of Hemingway’s Restaurant located on the scenic shore of Grace Bay Beach in the Turks and Caicos islands. On May 20th, Susan Warren of Stansfeld Scott joined Tony Bell, Sales and Marketing Manager for Discount Liquors for tastings of Ruffino.

Approximately 100 resort guests had the chance to sample Ruffino Pinot Grigio and Chianti DOC. One couple commented, “It’s been a long time since we’ve tried Ruffino, that’s what we should order with dinner tonight.”

Italian wines have a small base in the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos islands but tasting events such as these are encouraging strong growth.
